Children love things that move. Cars, trains, trucks, go karts and all machines that move are the focus of this incursion. We look at the history of moving machines and the development made overtime to make them safer, faster and more efficient. We explore how they work and the basic principles of operation, such as steering their drive systems and aerodynamics.
Below are just a couple of examples of the Go Kart/Trains/Cars Incursion activities we bring out to schools
- Pull apart our full size Go Kart. Remove the entire body, wheels and steering until only the chassis remains. Reassemble the Go-Kart ensuring the correct wheels are placed front and rear to ensure proper traction. Look at the workings of the push/pull steering.
- Work as a team to disassemble our STEM Train. Explore its inner workings when it’s apart. See how the wheels are interconnected and how the electric motor powers the wheels.
Prices
School Groups and Holiday Programs:
- $13.50 per child plus GST
Minimum Charge:
- 1 Session- $650 plus GST
- 2 Sessions- $900 plus GST
Please note: A $1.00 per child travel surcharge may apply depending on your school’s location.
Session Duration:
Generally a session runs for two hours. A minimum of 1 ½ hours per session is required.
Session Times:
- 9:00 am – 11 am
- 11:30 am – 1:30 pm
- 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm (small groups only)
Note: These times can be varied to suit schools requirements.
