Taskworks incursions use a variety of life size activities designed specifically to allow children to explore the physical sciences. Our incursions enable them to see the nature and interaction of forces, motion and energy. We teach children about gravity, friction, magnetism, heat, light, sound and energy.
All our equipment is 100% hands-on and is designed to display the physics and mechanisms that allow objects to move. Children can physically explore how forces interact.
Below are just a couple of examples of the physical science activities we bring out to schools
- Watch children as they delightfully drop up and down on our Push/Pull Machine. This exciting machine gives children a chance to explore the effects of gravity and the working of simple machines.
- Children work together to build a full scale robot or mechanical creature using real nuts, bolts, pins and hinges. They pull apart and reconstruct our STEM Train and discover how it works and the gearing mechanism that allows it to move
- Walk on our Antigravity Platform wearing magnetic shoes along a path of super magnets. Feel the anti-gravity magnetic effect that elevates you off the ground.
Prices
School Groups and Holiday Programs:
- $13.50 per child plus GST
Minimum Charge:
- 1 Session- $650 plus GST
- 2 Sessions- $900 plus GST
Please note: A $1.00 per child travel surcharge may apply depending on your school’s location.
Session Duration:
Generally a session runs for two hours. A minimum of 1 ½ hours per session is required.
Session Times:
- 9:00 am – 11 am
- 11:30 am – 1:30 pm
- 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm (small groups only)
Note: These times can be varied to suit schools requirements.
