We explore Magnets and their use as non-contact forces to push or pull on objects. How Gravity, a non-contact force, pulls us to the ground. How Friction uses contact forces to allow us to push or pull on objects.
Below are just a couple of examples of the Push/Pull and Forces activities we bring out to schools
- Children absolutely love our Push/Pull Machine. Thousands of delightful screams have told us that gravity can be fun. Pushing and pulling can be tiring as children fly up and down on this mini version of a carnival ride when they use the push pull machine.
- Designed around the action of a seesaw railway wagon, this machine is a visual interaction of simple machines and pneumatics. It’s made by us and is unique to Taskworks. Want to have a go as a teacher? We guarantee you’ll love it as well.
Prices
School Groups and Holiday Programs:
- $13.50 per child plus GST
Minimum Charge:
- 1 Session- $650 plus GST
- 2 Sessions- $900 plus GST
Please note: A $1.00 per child travel surcharge may apply depending on your school’s location.
Session Duration:
Generally a session runs for two hours. A minimum of 1 ½ hours per session is required.
Session Times:
- 9:00 am – 11 am
- 11:30 am – 1:30 pm
- 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm (small groups only)
Note: These times can be varied to suit schools requirements.
