Children use their imagination and teamwork when they pull apart and rebuild our robots. We discuss the history and role of robots and how they were created to simplify our lives. We look at their use in repetitive and difficult environments and their enormous potential. We look at robots in our homes and lives and discuss the amazing ideas children have about the future of robots.
Below are just a couple of examples of the Robot activities we bring out to schools
- Work in groups to pull apart our Robot/Creature. At Taskworks we call him “Bolts” but the children love to call him “Bob”. Children use their imagination to build him hundreds of different ways. Each new build comes with a new idea for a task Bob can do.
- Build “Ernie”our life size robot. Unscrew his eyes, his ears and unbolt his head. Unscrew his hands and arms and then remove his entire body. Remove the base and get ready to work with your teammates to build something entirely different and exciting. What will his function be when you rebuild him???
Prices
School Groups and Holiday Programs:
- $13.50 per child plus GST
Minimum Charge:
- 1 Session- $650 plus GST
- 2 Sessions- $900 plus GST
Please note: A $1.00 per child travel surcharge may apply depending on your school’s location.
Session Duration:
Generally a session runs for two hours. A minimum of 1 ½ hours per session is required.
Session Times:
- 9:00 am – 11 am
- 11:30 am – 1:30 pm
- 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm (small groups only)
Note: These times can be varied to suit schools requirements.
